Prescriptions Available In Clinic
There is never enough time in the day. Especially when you are hurt or not feeling well. Primary Health Medical Group has found a way to save you time when you need it most with a new program that enables us to fill some prescription medications BEFORE you leave the clinic.
What are the benefits of getting your prescription filled before you leave the clinic?
- Convenient and Saves Time - no need to get in the car, drive to the pharmacy, and wait in line for your prescription to be found and filled! We'll fill your prescription for you right in the clinic.
- Comparable Costs - Most medications are only $15!
- Start your prescription before you leave the clinic, which can help you feel better faster!
Primary Health Medical Group is proud to bring this new prescription dispensing program to our clinics around the Treasure Valley. Still have questions about how the program works? Take a look at the FAQs below or contact us with your questions.
Question: Is prescription dispensing the same as being a pharmacy?
Answer: No, we can only distribute pre-packaged medications in the clinics. We purchase specific, commonly prescribed medications that have been pre-packaged. At a pharmacy, your prescribed medication isn't packaged until they receive your prescription from the health care provider.
Question: Will it take a long time? Sometimes I have to wait at the pharmacy for 30-40 minutes after I arrive!
Answer: It should take less than ten minutes to fill your prescription, as we do not have to count or package the medication. Plus, you'll save time not having to drive to the pharmacy (and no temptations to shop while you wait!).
Question: What will it cost me? Are you the same price as a regular pharmacy or grocery store?
Answer: The cost depends on the medication prescribed. In many cases, the price you will pay in the clinic may be the same price you would pay at any other pharmacy. Sometimes, the cost may be a few dollars more because of the discounts that are given to large volume retailers. Prescriptions offered in our clinic will start at $15. The cost will always be communicated with you UPFRONT so that you can make an informed decision.
Question: My insurance pays for some of my prescriptions, can you take my insurance?
Answer: We may be able to take your insurance co-pay for your medications dispensed at the clinic, depending on the prescription.
Question: Do you carry every prescription medication?
Answer: We carry more than 20 of the top medications that are traditionally prescribed in an Urgent Care Clinic. The Pediatrics Clinic also has their own list of commonly prescribed medications. Chances are good that we have the medication your health care provider wants you to take.
